Meine Notizen:

Ambition, achievement, adversity.

I’m not someone who believes in epiphanies. There is no one moment that changes a person. There are many.

The first principle is that you must not fool yourself-and you are the easiest person to fool.  – Richard Feynman

We can’t work with other people if we’ve put up walls. We can’t improve the world if we don’t understand it or ourselves. We can’t take or receive feedback if we are incapable of. Our uninterested I hearing from outside sources. We can’t recognize opportunities – or create them – if instead of seeing what  is in front of us, we live inside our own fantasy.

If you start believe in your greatness, it is the death of your creativity – Marina Abramovic

Humble in our aspirations

Gracious in our success

Resilient in our failures

We seem to think that silence is a sign of weakness.

In actuality, silence is strength- particularly early on I any journey.

Silence is the respite of the confident and the strong

Doing great work is a struggle. It’s draining, it’s demoralizing, it’s frightening – not always, but it can feel that way when we’re deep in the middle of it.

What’s fueling you?

Become a student

Each fighter, to become great, he said, need to have someone better that they can learn from, someone lesser who they can teach, and someone equal they can challenge themselves against.

We must all become our own teaches, tutors and critics.

A Student is self-critical and self-motivated, always trying to improve his understanding so that he can move on to the next topic, the next challenge. A real student is also his own teacher and his own critic. There is no room for ego there.

Epictetus: You can’t learn if you think you already know. You will not find the answers if you’re too conceited and self-assured to ask the questions. You cannot get better if you’re convinced you are the best.

Greatness comes from humble beginnings.

A person who thinks all the time has nothing to think about expect thoughts, so he loses touch with reality and lives in a world of illusions. – Alan watts

There is just work to be done and lessons to be learned, in all that is around us.

When you accept that having an idea is not enough; that you must work until you are able to recreate your experience effectively in word on the page.

Where we want to go isn’t about brilliance, but continual effort. While that’s not a terribly sexy idea, it should be an encouraging one.

Bill Bradley- When you are not practicing, remember, someone somewhere is practicing, and when you meet him he will win.

One of the symptom of approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one’s wok is terribly important – Bertrand Russell

It is not enough to have great qualities; we should also have the management to them – La Rochefoucauld

Vivre sans temp mort (Live without wasted time) – Parisian political slogan
